Multiple CAD Systems
I'm almost positive they can create multiple parsers for your agency - I asked them this same question last year. We ended up not getting messages from 2 different dispatch centers but A91 said it was possible to do multiple parsers and activa…

Delay in receiving alerts on all platforms
Is there any chance your dispatch center can switch to the SNPP delivery of messages from SNMP? This is the paging protocol and often, those messages go direct from CAD to Active911, not through your municipalities mail server. We have the same ex…

Active911 calls to Department Facebook page
I could see this as very useful if I could only pass through certain run cards (FeedTitle). I don't need to post every medical call we run but larger incidents that might impact the public (vehicle accidents, fires, wildland incidents, etc) wo…

Alarm Data Export for Reporting
A potential issue with using Active911 for that type of reporting is the accuracy. It is really narrowing down the call type and that data is only as accurate as what dispatch enters. For example, you are dispatched to a traffic accident. Active9…

We do exactly what you want with our mutual aid partners. They have their own Active911 accounts set up and I simply took their registration codes for the devices they use in their apparatus and added them to our Active911 account as a multi-use de…

Make a user an admin of a group?
We give the users the ability to delegate their own page groups using the app. In our welcome message to each user when we give them their device code, we explain the groups and then allow the firefighters to choose the one(s) they should be listen…

Dispatch webview
You can do what you describe but it will take 3 computers and 3 different Webview registration codes. Each registration code (device) would only have the agencies assigned to it that you wanted to see on that monitor.

Input needed for trouble parts on the website...
Active911, you need to fix your ticket / support system like yesterday. At $12 a device, as soon as one person calls / writes for support, you've lost money on them. You need to stop handling support for users immediately. Take the Google A…

ACTIVE 911 UPDATE
The whole ticket system needs to be re-vamped. I would suggest any ticket filed by a non-admin would send that ticket to the admin for the department. Any ticket filed by an admin would go to A911 support. Also, give the admins more ability to c…

"Watch"
I second Chris L. We have 120 volunteers. There is no "on duty" or "off duty" time for them. So, when we get a call, there are tons of people listed in "watch" which serves us no use. It's especially annoying o…

Let me see what I can put together. What I'll probably do is create a step by step (with code snippets) on my website and link it here. If you are looking for a no previous linux experience procedure, it will take me more than 5 steps but not…

Raspberry Pi as webview client
I solved this by installing the Chromium browser into the RPi. Though it is beta and not fully supported, it does work better than the 2 built in browsers and stores the registration code for Active911 webview. Now to get Active911 to stop reporting…

Sending Emailed Alerts, But call is General Alert
Well, we can't change anything in the format of our messages from CAD so it looks like we are stuck with our custom parser. Since 99% of our messages come from CAD and not emails from chiefs (for recalls, etc), it's not that big of a deal…

Location of users who are not responding
It would be nicer (cleaner) to have the option to not report "Unavailable" and "Watch" locations. I guess with the ability to re-name response buttons, this might have to be coded on a per-button basis (ie: Button name, Report l…

What do you use for on apparatus?
1) We use the built-in AT&T modem. Our ambulances have a wifi hotspot in them and they bought the Wifi only iPads and GPS does not work. I would stick with the cell modem version if you can. 2) We keep ours plugged in all the time using a Kensin…

Yes, same way you do it on the phone. The calls will be listed in chronological order, not broken out by department, though. You can still tell what department the call is for but they just flow in order.

The upcoming Android version has that ability, Joshua. I'm not sure if iOS would allow that type of granularity of ringtones within a single application. I think iOS is much more restrictive when it comes to this.
