If an SMS user can put themselves responding (r), perhaps they can also go on and off duty by text message?

EDIT: Well, maybe I spoke too soon. Just tested it and it doesn't seem to be working.
EDIT #2: Okay, Little more testing. You can't reply directly to the sms that was sent to you. You have to send it to 541-704-7704.

I would like the ability to see a list of responders via SMS.

John, this won't be an option. Most of these lists would not fit into an SMS.
