All Alerts listed as General Alerts
  • Since the first of the year, 2 separate agencies in Henrico Co, VA have noticed all calls are sent as General Alerts. County dispatch says they haven’t changed any formatting on their end. We only use the app for notification and mapping - this makes both of those things much harder.

    Thanks for looking into this.

When you receive a "GENERAL ALERT", that means the parser we have built on our end to interpret the data your dispatch is sending us, has failed. "GENERAL ALERT" is the default we use when we don't know how to interpret the data sent to us by your dispatch.

I see that you contacted us via email (support@active911.com) about the same issue, and the problem was resolved on 1/9/2018. Whenever your calls are coming through as "GENERAL ALERT", please directly contact support to report the issue. Posting problems like this on the forums isn't the best way to contact us about problems.

You can contact support by sending an email to support@active911.com, or calling us at 541-223-7992. We are open 7am to 4pm PST Monday-Friday with an hour lunch from 11:30 to 12:30.
