Alert delay?
  • I've got a Samsung Galaxy S6edge, and a Galaxy Tab 10.1, both running the Active911 app.  We're about 2 months into our trial, and it been very good.  Recently however, both devices seem to have a much longer delay in getting the call alert.  They used to go off very close to my pager, but now it can be quite a few minutes, or sometimes not until I open the app to see if the alert is there.
    Both devices are on wifi while I'm at home.
    Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  Our department has been very happy with the trial so far.
  • Support should be able to help diagnose where the bottleneck is coming from if you give them a call.
  • Coburg Fire, in Oregon is having 15-30 minute delays, from Feb 1 and Feb 2
  • So, I think the delay had something to do with the "Do Not Disturb" setting on my Galaxy devices.  The alerts used to work even with the "Do Not Disturb" on, but that seems to have changed.  If I turn off the "Do Not Disturb", the alerts come through very quickly, almost the same time as my pager going off.
