Alert Redundancy
  • I raised this under feature request but thought it could be worth while posting here to see what thoughts are.

    "Just a thought, but I would like to see a form of redundancy built into Active 911 app for both android and iOS phones. For the occasions when staff are in bad or no data coverage the push notification for the alert is sometimes delayed or slow to load until coverage is better or you are back in mobile data coverage. My suggestion would be that if the alert was not successfully received on the device, then Active 911 would then regenerate the alert by another means such as phone call, and then a 3rd means via SMS. This then allows 3 methods of alerting should one fail/not be received. It would give departments starting to rely on this piece of mind."
