Parsers, Groups, Filters and Alarm Types
  • First, gotta say we are small rural vfd for an unincorporated community (hamlet?) and are at the mercy of whatever the county-wide 911 dispatchers in the county seat decide to type into the existing paging system (which goes to alpha pagers, and we got the pager provider to CC Active911 email addr for our department's pages).

So, we have Fire & Medical groups set up, but everybody is on all of them for now (till we solve this issue Im posting about)....

On the Members Access admin website, our agency tab has the pie chart which says 10% Traffic, 15% Medical and 75% Other.   Granted, we've sent a lost of test and administrative pages, but we have done fire calls too.   However, fire calls seem to get categorized as "General Alert".

For example, under our Alarms tab, we see this for an accident call alarm detail:
    first responder major accident

    8997 fm-773
        Ben Wheeler
        32.44811700, -95.70726600
    Details

        Active911 #
            16089665
        Pagegroups
            Always

    Notes

        PARSER: General

Contrast that with a structure fire:
    GENERAL ALERT

Van Zandt Co SO:second page structure fire 1800 vz4705
    Details

        Active911 #
            16321331
        Pagegroups
            Always

    Notes

        PARSER: GeneralAlert

Then we have a medical call:
    first responders chest pain

    5509 fm 858
        Ben Wheeler
        32.45315180, -95.66751530
    Details

        Active911 #
            15606116
        Pagegroups
            Always

    Notes

        PARSER: General

And finally, I'm not sure how this one was even categorized:
    Van Zandt Co

    2456 FM 858
        Ben Wheeler
        32.45315180, -95.66751530
    Details

        Active911 #
            15848646
        Pagegroups
            Always

    Notes

FOR ONE VEHICLE ROLL OVER WITH ENTRAPMENT
        PARSER: General

Is there something we need to do?  Is there anything that can be done to clean these up?

It would be nice to put folks who are good to go on medicals in their own page group.... and also let on/off duty status actually work
  • wow, that post formatted weird.
  • I fixed it for you by copying it into notepad and re-pasting it to get rid of the formatting that broke it.
  • Patrick, please contact support.  They may need to tweak your parser.
  • Thank you both!
    Will contact Support.
