Webview Map Tracers...?
  • I have recently installed Active911/Webview onto two MDC units.  The map is amazing, however it doesn't give the route tracer like it does on our phones?  Am I missing a setting change??  The marker shows up at the incident address properly, just no tracer to the incident.
  • It should show the same as what you see in the Active911 apps with orange markers for people.
  • Webview was not created with a routing feature. We may add this later; it all depends on how many people request it.

  • I understand what the OP was asking for now.  I agree, navigation would be great!  I think this would have to be rolled into an actual PC version though and not webview.  An option to show the blue route line wouldn't be a bad feature so long as it can be put in the settings to be turned on/off.
  • Is there an actual PC version?
  • Please do not put routing information on Webview... It is intended for use in Dispatch or as a station monitor not as a MDT (Mobile Data Terminal) Maybe they can come up with a program to be used as a MDT.
  • No, we do not have a full PC version at this time, although we are planning for one in the coming year.

  • I recently added the Active 911/webview on our trucks labtops. Does the webview still not support routing to the incident?
  • We are currently working on Windows apps with the Windows Phone 8 app coming soon. Shortly after that, we will release a Windows 8 Tablet app and then we will release a Windows Desktop application.

All of our Windows Apps will support routing so you should be able to replace webview on your devices with a native application soon.
  • Any Update on the PC app?
